Most of the characters carry over into the next book and next trilogy, (unless they get killed - no spoilers!). The main characters are "real" people with flaws and sometimes they make mistakes, but they have good intentions. Great character development, great characters, and plenty of war. This is book 1 of the third and final trilogy in the Black Fleet Series, an excellent series of military sci-fi space opera, (The first trilogy was The Black Fleet Trilogy, the second trilogy is called The Expansion Wars Trilogy, and this is the final trilogy - The Unification War Trilogy). Excellent installment in the Blackfleet trilogy ![]()
